When the weather turns cold in Maryland, many adults with disabilities end up spending most of the winter stuck inside – fewer outings, fewer friendships, and very little time in nature.
At Lucky & Blessed Fishing (LABF), we’ve seen how powerful it is when our participants get outside, explore parks and trails, and build real relationships. That’s why this Giving Tuesday we’re raising funds to launch our new LABF Winter Nature & Community Program.
From January through March 2026, we’ll host five winter outings at local Maryland parks with:
Guided nature experiences led by park naturalists
Adaptive, sensory-friendly activities for adults with disabilities
Time to build friendships, move their bodies, and practice environmental stewardship
