Corporate Volunteerism
Exelon met us at our very first trade show and within days, our Founder was out on a boat fishing with one of the Executives who also shares a love for fishing and giving back. That was the start of a relationship that has provided Exelon an opportunity to serve multiple IDD support organizations, while giving their employees and special time proving enriching and inclusive experiences through fishing. Everyone benefits from the therapeutic nature of what we do here at LABF and we love seeing local Corporations supporting these employee giving programs. ​

We had such an amzing time with the first group from Exelon, the next volunteer team that came out was all BGE employees and a bunch of great anglers! We do encourage everyone to come out, even those that don't fish as there are other opportunities at LABF events like photgraphy, video, admin stuff and more. We are excited to see if the passion that these volunteers had for our clients and it was evident that everyone was having a blast while developing relations and community through fishing. ​

Autism Awareness

MDTA and the Key Bridge Rebuild Project contacted LABF to be part of our Annual Autism Awareness event that we have every April. Our goal was to provide a free event where kids, youth and adults in our LABF Community can come together as one with no labels... just friends, family, partenrs, clients and sponsors all together fishing, eating food and celebrating community! We are honored to be recognized for our work serving underserved and differently abled communities through our inclusive and life enriching programs.

Our relationship with Mike's Wholesale Bait started one say when our local tacle shop was out of minnows so we reached out to Mike's. They initially said they are wholesale only, but when they heard about our mission serving folks with different abilities, they said... "Come by and get bait ANYTIME!" What an amazing blessing to have a partner that has so much passion for our mission to provide us with an unlimited supply of worms, minnows, cut bait and even Eels for our recent Autism Awareness event in April. Fishing License Waivers
Maryland DNR has been supporting LABF for 3 years now and we are blown away by their gracious partnership. Every year DNR provides LABF with letters that waive the need for fishing licenses for all of our events and we will have over 2000 event adult attendees in 2025.
